Octavio Ocampo...

Octavio Ocampo, is one fine Artist and muralist. Octavio was born February 28, 1943 in Celaya, Guanajuato. Coming from a family of designers Octavio first studied art as a boy. He was educated at the Fine Art Institute in Mexico City and San Francisco Art Institute. He has been exhibiting since 1972. His love for art did not stop there. Octavio not only was an artist but also did acting and dancing. He pursued both film and theater career as well. After Octavio devoted his time solely to sculpture and painting and since has been primarily working on metamorphic style using a technique of super imposing and juxtaposing realistic and figurative details within the images he makes.

To look at Octavio's painting takes a little practice but you will love the outcome of all he does. One has to look long and hard. The longer you look the more you will see. Another reason why I love his art work is because it's filled with symbolism. Here are a few I was able to get for you to look at.

Eyes Dilated...

This past Wednesday I had a scheduled annual eye exam. Which I dread those kind of appointments just because I know that I will have to get my eyes dilated. Since I am Type 1 diabetic this is a yearly ritual for me. So I have to do it no matter what. Well let me just say that if you know for sure that at the end of your visit the Optomologist will tell you that it's eighter time to change your lens and you are eligible for a new pair of frames. Choose them before you step in to the room and can't really see well after because of your eyes being dilated. This is exactly what happened to me. I mean glasses come in many different shapes and colors and let me not forget to say different prices. I couldn't choose my frames that day because I also need to make sure to choose the right kind of price.. LOL!! and this picture below is exactly what I saw when looking at the price and style...

Priceless ...

This morning when we dropped off my son in daycare. I had a special
gift waiting for me. My son put together this beautiful Penne pasta
necklace. I was in Awe when I saw it .. This necklace to me is worth
more than those Tiffany&Co. and other pricey jewelry. Sorry to say
that ladies.. But its true. I even had to post about it here and
Facebook to show off my one of a kind Priceless necklace.

This is me wearing it proudly...
